Last week's picture shows the stone sculpture amid the walkways and terraces over the Transit Tunnel's International District station, sandwiched between the ID and King Street Station.
The sumacs were a riot of color a week or two ago, but it looks and feels much like winter there now. Fortunately there are hot beverages galore (Starbucks, Tully's and Specialty's all abut the plaza) while noodles and other delights await at Uwajimaya across the street.
