Last week's picture shows (what looks to me like) an exclamatory clock on 3rd Avenue by the entrance to the WAMU Tower.
Near the corner of Third and University is a street clock designed by artist Heather Ramsay. The 14-foot pendulum clock is made of steel with a polished copper finish. The clock includes a small brass mouse running up the side in reference to the "Hickory-Dickory Dock" nursery rhyme. It's the artist's way of reminding us of the time that has passed since childhood.

Hmm. I suppose not everyone wants a reminder of how much time that is, but we can all choose to look forward instead, whether to our next meeting, or more distantly.
