Where's It Wednesday—LXXXIII

Where in Seattle is this?

Somewhere in Seattle... but where?

Answer to the last puzzle, after the jump.

The picture from last time shows the awning over the entrance to the Hotel Monaco at Fourth and Spring. It is perhaps best known for providing its guests a live pet during their stay—a goldfish in a classic goldfish bowl.

My dead computer has been resurrected. I always feel a little like a modern-day shaman when hunched over a barely sputtering computer carcass, laboring to evoke enough of a twitch on which to build... A frightful number of incantations were needed, along with the modern witch-doctor's equivalents of feathers and entrails—cables, spare harddrives, adapters, DVD writers, diagnostic toolkits, and a clutch of varied software utilities and bit twiddlers. While it takes up more space than my wife would prefer, it is very useful to have an extensive boneyard of hardware and software on which to draw.

So-called recovery disks? Worthless, as ever.

Very kind of my readers for hanging in while I got things back up. Thanks to you both!
